The modern age is the age of science. Many wonderful scientific discoveries and inventions have been made so far. These scientific advancement has made our life easier and more comfortable but if seen from the opposite side of the window one realizes that this has encroached on our lives with lots of adverse effects.
Science plays a vital role in our daily life. It has helped in resolving complex matters, whereas, it has also turned simple living into a complexity.
The invention of electricity is an incredible change in human civilization. It brings light to our homes, roads, and offices. It gives us cool and warm air. It helps run our machines, factories and workshops. The presence of electricity has removed darkness from the world. We have become so dependent on it that in its absence, a minute feels like a month.
Science has also developed a way of communication. With the help of telephone, wireless, email and the internet the world shrunk into a small village. The invention of mobiles and the internet has reduced the distance between people but physically it has taken us so much apart. In the same house even in the same room, two people are often found using their mobile phones rather than interacting with each other.
The computer is a wonderful invention of science. It is being used in every field of life. It has helped solve many complex problems. Computers can do complex calculations and work quickly. But it is a threat to each person’s privacy. Because each person on the Internet is being watched and their data being collected through their accounts.
Consequently, we must ensure the wise use of these scientific inventions to save the world from the evil side of science. Science is a beautiful gift to humanity if used wisely.
