Ziarat:
At least three Levies personnel were killed and three wounded after their vehicle hit a landmine in the Mangi Dam area of Ziarat, confirmed Balochistan Government’s spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani.
The Baloch Liberation Army, a militant organization, claimed responsibility for the attack. The BLA spokesperson further claimed that the blast left six Levies personnel dead including the Levies Major Zaman Zendra, Naib Rasaldar Mudasir, and Sepoy Zainullah.
A similar attack by the BLA killed one FC sepoy and injured two in Loralai this month.
Recent months have witnessed a surge in deadly attacks on Pakistani security forces by the BLA which has repeatedly vowed to continue such attacks until its purpose of liberating Balochistan is fulfilled.
