World Sindhi Congress (WSC), an international human rights advocacy body has Condemned the extra-judicial murder of Sindhi young man Irfan Jatoi and demanded a transparent inquiry into his murder.
WSC is deeply saddened and strongly condemns the extrajudicial killing of Irfan Jatoi. Irfan a young student of Sindh University was abducted together with two other students, from the International Hostel of the University by police and security agencies in front of scores of students and staff. Irfan and other abducted remained missing since. Sadly, today the police have handed over the body of Irfan Jatoi claiming he was killed in a police encounter, tweeted WSC.
The WSC further added that n Sindh, the killing of people in fake police encounters has been a common practice and there have been hundreds of such incidents on record. WSC believes Jatoi’s death is an extrajudicial murder and demands an immediate and transparent investigation and punishment to the perpetrators involving representatives of HRCP and VMPS.
“We will take this case to the International Community including the UN for justice for Irfan Jatoi”, reiterated WSC.
