Members of Panjgur’s civil society along with women and children protested over the cases of target killing of residents and held a sit-in protest.
Several residents of Panjgur have been shot dead by unknown armed men, with residents and media reporting over 20 deaths in the last month.
Protesters expressed anguish over the deteriorating security situation in Panjgur and urged the authorities to take steps to bring the culprits to book.
Locals have accused the military-backed death squads of the increasing number of deaths in Panjgur.
Panjgur has been in turmoil for the last many years.
Pakistan military has formed private militias known as death squads to quell dissent in Balochistan which has killed men in thousands, according to the Baloch Human Rights Council.
