Gwadar:
Chinese workers in three vehicles were being escorted by the security forces in Gwadar when the attacker detonated his device, according to the local Police.
The Baloch insurgent group Baloch Liberation Army which strongly opposes the Chinese-led CPEC claimed responsibility for the bombing.
“At least 9 Chinese workers were killed and several were injured in the attack”, read the statement issued by the BLA.
The BLA statement further said the attack was carried out by Sirbuland Baloch alias Umar Jan, one of the members of BLA’s Majeed Brigade.
This comes as BLA has intensified deadly attacks on Pakistani security forces across Balochistan.
According to the local Police, two children were killed and three got injured in the blast but some locals deny the Police statement saying the security forces’ indiscriminate firing following the blast was responsible for the death of children.
