London: August 25, 2022
Baloch National Movement (BNM) and Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC) agreed to extend all kinds of cooperation to streamline their activities in presenting the human rights situation in Balochistan in various international fora.
BNM chairman Dr Naseem Baloch and BHRC executive president Dr Naseer Dashti have declared that BNM human rights department PAANK and BHRC will jointly collect or exchange data on human rights violations in Balochistan and disseminate it in international and national media. In the agreement signed on August 24, 2022, it was also agreed that PAANK and BHRC would highlight the plight of the Baloch people in available or accessible international fora and policy-making organizations in the western capitals and the UN. BNM Human Rights secretary Nazir Noor and BHRC general secretary Qambar Malik were nominated as focal persons in coordinating the activities in this regard.
It should be noted that BNM and BHRC have been collaborating in highlighting human rights violations in Balochistan for a long time. However, it is the first time that both organizations have formally declared to streamline their activities in the face of heinous crimes committed by the Pakistani state in Balochistan.
