Quetta:
On Friday, dozens of women and children from the Killi Qambrani area of Quetta city gathered outside the Quetta Press Club to demand the release of their family members who were forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani security forces on different occasions.
The protesters were holding photos of the disappeared persons. Children displayed placards with slogans written on them against enforced disappearances.
“At least eight members of our family were forcibly disappeared during a military raid in Killi Qambrani”, said the protesters.
The disappeared members of the family include Mansoor Qambrani, Wassy Qambrani, Dawood Qambrani, Zubair Qambrani, Uzair Zehri, Shakeel Shahwani, Umair Zehri, and Shabeer Sumalani.
According to the family, the victimized young men were attending the marriage ceremony of a relative when they were arrested and whisked away by the security personnel.
This comes as another man, Fakhruddin Qambrani, belonging to the same family of the disappeared young men was abducted a couple of days ago by the security forces from Quetta.
