WASHINGTON, DC:
The Baloch American Congress (BAC) has urged the US government to help stop the extra-judicial killing of Baloch activists being carried out by the Pakistani security services in Balochistan. “Two cousins who were teenagers, Samiullah Pirkani and Jamil Ahmed Pirkani, along with Arif Marri, Yusuf Marri, and Shah Nazar were killed execution-style five days ago in a fake encounter in Mastung, Balochistan,” Dr. Tara Chand Baloch, the president of BAC said on Thursday.
“The victims were already in the custody of the security agencies; these cold-blooded killings are a continuation of the slow-motion genocide of Baloch people.” Accusing China of fully supporting Pakistan state atrocities in Balochistan, he said, “The US government has taken some good steps in support of the Uyghurs in China and the people in Balochistan rightfully deserve similar help and support”.
He further said that Islamabad and Beijing were working in tandem to take complete control of Balochistan, its seaports, and natural resources while erasing the very existence of Baloch people in Balochistan. The BAC president said Pakistan, with the help of China, was conducting the worst human rights violations in Balochistan on a daily basis. He urged the US government to impose immediate sanctions against Pakistan’s military and security officials who are responsible for crimes against humanity in Balochistan.
