The conflict between the forces of good and evil on this planet continues forever. In this conflict, sometimes the burden of good is heavy, and sometimes of evil. Unfortunately, in today’s Panjgur, the burden of evil outweighs the good, especially because the issue of law and order is paramount. Panjgur is an agricultural district of the Makran division of Balochistan, Pakistan.
While Panjgur is one of the largest producers of dates in Balochistan which closely neighbours Iran. With a population of over half a million, Panjgur has been experiencing drastically high crime rates for more than a couple of decades. This much-long period of crime in Panjgur has had a devastating impact on victims and survivors, neighbourhoods and society.
Crime in Panjgur continually threatens our individual and collective feelings of safety and security. Everyday crimes in Panjgur have created collective senses leading toward dishonour through the realization that any of us, at any time, can be victimized by violence. There are numerical reasons for crime and one of the factors can safely be related to monster gangs.
A clear sign of fear and a growing sense of insecurity among Panjgur’s people can be related to augmenting crimes during which many residents have lost their lives, a recent study found that more than 80 citizens were killed last year.
The situation in Panjgur was very grim. However, when Imam Bakhsh took the charge of the district police officer (DPO), the law and order situation in Panjgur came on the tracks of betterment. Before him, The rampant street crimes have instilled fear and a sense of insecurity among the citizens as the ruthless muggers and killers have been freely roaming the city, looting people and killing them over the slightest hint of resistance with impunity. But, his tremendous efforts to effectively counter the rising menace of crime has turned the views of a citizen into hope for a better-sustained life in their home city.
The police department is considered one of the most important sectors for the improvement and development of any nation and society. The purpose of establishing this sector is to eliminate crimes, corruption and illegal activities from society and make it pure and clean. So that, society becomes a source of peace and order of comfort and satisfaction in the world by setting goals of success and prosperity, people’s property and lives, honour and dignity, and their identity are protected and can live a life with peace and prosperity the stronger and the more stable the police department in the society, the fewer crimes and corruptions there will be and the more peace and security will be in it.
Hence, Crimes can be controlled through coordination between the police and the public – both are at fault. Citizens do not want to become witnesses and when police prepare a case, criminals usually get bail.
