There are more than 70 villages in Dasht tensil of the district Kech. Dasht’s residents are denied access to education. The absence of doors, access to clean water, and a teacher shortage are all regarded as major problems facing schools in Dasht.
Similarly, most residents in Dasht are on low-income and their children are unable to complete their education because of poverty. Parents in Dasht are unable to send their children to the comparably better schools in Turbat and Gwadar. In today’s world everyone in a country enjoy the fundamental right to an education. In the modern era, education is important and can help someone maintain their quality of life. Dashti’s residents are therefore trying to get an education but have no opporunities.
Teachers in schools in Dasht are compelled to instruct a high number of students in various grades due to the shortage of teachers and classes. Since there is no college in Dasht, a populated tehsil in district Kech, many students choose not to pursue their education after high school.
The Balochistan government must take notice of this situation and act to meet the educational needs of the people in Tehsil Dasht.
