Doctors at Wazir Akbar Khan hospital have said that an employee working for the Iranian embassy in Kabul was wounded in an armed attack in Kabul on Wednesday night.
According to the doctors, the name of the employee is Mahdi, and he said he is a secretary at the Iranian embassy in Kabul.
“A patient was brought to us—he was an Iranian citizen—he had wounds on his right arm, a nerve was severed and there were internal and external injuries on his hand,” said Haris Arif, a surgeon in Wazir Akbar Khan hospital.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Embassy in Kabul said that an employee of the embassy was riding in his private car while shopping in downtown Kabul, and when faced with armed robbers he resisted.
