Karachi:
Baloch nationalist leader and founder of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), Sardar Attaullah Mengal, passed away in Karachi on Thursday, confirmed BNP.
He was ill and had been hospitalized at a private hospital in Karachi for over a week. His funeral will be held at 3 pm in Wadh on Friday.
BNP has declared ten days of national mourning to mark the death of Sardar Attaullah Mengal.
The uncompromising campaigner against the oppressive policies of the state establishment of Pakistan in Balochistan, Sardar Mengal, had spent several years in jail because of his political belief. He was also known for being the first-ever elected Chief Minister of Balochistan.
