Quetta:
The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) staged a protest outside the Quetta Press against enforced disappearances in Balochistan on Sunday.
The protesters were holding portraits of disappeared persons, demanding their immediate release.
They also condemned increasing cases of violence against Baloch women and the families of victims of enforced disappearances.
This comes as the security forces raided the family home of a forcibly disappeared activist Rashid Hussain in Karachi. The raiding forces used violence against the family and abducted some of its members. The abducted members were later released.
The Baloch Human Rights Council in a tweet strongly condemned the security forces’ act of reprisal against Rashid Hussain’s family.
