Kech:
The rape of a 10-years-old boy by the personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) in Hoshab town of district Kech has shocked the entire Balochistan amid an avalanche of calls from rights groups, activists, and politicians demanding immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
On Wednesday afternoon, the 10-years-old minor, Murad Ameer, and his elder brother were abducted and beaten by the FC, who subsequently raped Murad and dumped him on the roadside.
The minor was found unconscious, according to the family, who rushed him to a hospital in Turbat.
The CPEC road in Hoshab was blocked by an angry crowd who called for the rapist FC men to be arrested and punished.
A lot of people on social media are demanding justice for Murad Ameer
#JusticeForMuradAmeer is trending on social media in Pakistan.
To add insult to injury, the FC has abducted the elder brother of Murad Ameer and pressing the family to withdraw the FIR.
Unfortunately, FC violence and crimes against humanity are endemic in Balochistan, where the judiciary has failed to reinforce the obligations of the government to protect and guarantee the safety of its citizens.
On August 13, 2020, a 25-years-old student Hayat Baloch was murdered by the FC personnel in front of his helpless parents in Turbat, Kech.
However, as the media blackout continues in Balochistan, many of FC’s crimes go unreported.
