Quetta:
“Acting on a tip-off, CTD personnel raided a compound being used by the terrorists in Kali Qamar Mazhar Abad area of Mastung,” reported SAMAA TV quoting the CTD spokesperson.
The CTD spokesperson added that the slain men belonged to the militant Islamic State group. Their identities are yet to be revealed by the CTD.
This comes as the CTD is already under huge criticism for executing Baloch dissidents in operations of similar nature.
According to the human rights organizations focusing on Balochistan, the CTD in recent times has been extra-judicially executing Baloch activists in fake encounters. These activists were arrested and detained by the Pakistani security forces before being executed by the CTD.
A Baloch political party, Baloch National Movement revealed that the CTD in a recent fake encounter in Loralai, Balochistan claimed to gun down seven persons. The two among the seven were BNM members who were forcibly disappeared by the military personnel.
The Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC) denouncing the increasing cases of enforced disappearance and extra-judicial executions tweeted that the trend of extra-judicial killings of verifiable victims of enforced disappearance in Balochistan seems to only be increasing.
It further said the Pakistani army is fighting a war in Balochistan without witnesses and to the exclusion of international law. The situation is alarming & warrants immediate attention and intervention from the civilized world. Failing to do so is letting down a people who are being minced under the powerful jaws of the military establishment of a recognized rogue state, added BHRC.
