Former SHO gunned down

QUETTA: Former Station House Officer (SHO) Fazal ur Rehman Kakar Was gunned down in Masjid Road area of Provincial Capital on Sunday.

According to the Police Unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire on former SHO Fazal ur Rehman Kakar in Show Room shop in Masjid Road Quetta and killed on the spot.

Kakar was the former SHO for airport road area police station and was serving during the operation in Kharotabad area in which five Chechens were killed as encounter in 2011.  Five foreigners were killed on 17th May in 2011 in the Kharotabad area of Quetta when police and FC personnel opened fire at them.

“kakar received five bullets in his chest and head,” hospital sources said was killed on the spot.  Kakar was dismissed from his post in court order in 2011.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the killing till the report was filed.

A case has been registered against the unknown persons and investigations are under way.
