QUETTA: Four persons of Hazara Community, all coal mine workers were cane under an attack on their vehicle at western bypass area of this provincial capital, on Friday.
Two out of four injured persons were succumbed to their injuries later in Hospital. Police officials said that a group of over a dozen people of Hazara community was on its way to Mach coalmine area in Bolan district and when reached at the main western bypass area unknown armed men opened fire.
As result of firing four persons traveling in a van injured. Police and FC personnel rushed to the site soon after the incident and shifted the injured to Bolan Medical College Hospital.
All the four injured were after giving initial treatment shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH). The condition of two injured was stated serious who received head injuries, later they breath last in evening.
Police identified the injured as Habibullah, Abdul Hussain, Syed Mubarak and Muhammad Younis. “The injured and other persons traveling in a van were coalminers and were going to Mach coal field after spending weekend,” Abdul Razzak Cheema, Deputy Inspector General Police Quetta said.
Security forces have launched search operation in the area after the incident. No arrest was reported in this regard.
