QUETTA: At least six passenger wounded after Lahore bound Akber Bugti Express targeted in a remotely controlled explosion near Hirak area of Bolan on Friday morning.
According to Balochistan Levies, unknown persons planted a remotely controlled explosive device alongside with railway track near Mach Station that exploded when the Lahore bound Akber Bugti Express passing through the area.
At last six passengers wounded after the bomb went off near the track while the train compartment number 9 partially damaged.
“Two more explosive devices planted alongside the track were timely defused by Bomb Disposal squad.” Levis force added.
Rescue workers along with Deputy Commissioner Kachi and Railway officials reached the spot, Frontier Corps Balochistan cordoned-off the area and the injured had been evacuated to District Hospital for medical treatment.
So far no group claimed responsibility of the attack but Baloch separatists remained fervent in Bolan area for attacking trains and railway installations.
“The blast partially damaged the compartment of Akber Bugti Express window penis were scattered due to the intensity of the blast.” Railway officials said and added fortunately two more explosive devices were defused at the site.
The injured passengers were discharged after the initial treatment and boarded in the train while the train left for its destiny after the incident.
