QUETTA: At least six Frontier corps Personnel were killed and two others sustained injures in IED blast in Shahrag area of Harnai District on Monday night.
According to the security sources Frontier Corps Balochistan convoy was patrolling in the area from Shahrag to Khost area of Harnai when they were targeted. As a result of blast six Frontier Corps Balochistan personnel were killed and two others sustained injures.
“The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was planted in a road side,” Security Sources said.
The Tehsildar Harnai Manak Khan confirmed the incident and said the deceased and injured were shifted to the Harnai Hospital for treatment. “The vehicle was destroyed in the attack,” Teshildar said.
Soon after the incident large number of security personnel rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area and started the search operation to hunt the culprits.
The deceased were identified as Lance Naik Yousaf Imran, Sepoy Shahb ud din, Sepoy Fayyaz, Sepoy Umer, Sepoy Naeem, Fazal ur Rehman and injured as Hayatullah and driver saadullah.
No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack till the report was filed.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Zehri condemned the remote control blast. CM Balochistan in his statement said that we will not spare the elements involved in this terrorist act and directed the law enforcement to bring the perpetrators to justice.
